lighting.
Use Natural Light
You want to use the soft natural light coming from a window and not the harsh artificial light coming from light fixtures in your home. Finding the right window in your home will make all the difference when it comes to your final picture.
Pay Attention to Shadows
The angle of light on your face can change a great deal about the way you look. We have found that facing directly towards a large window produces the most flattering results.
Face the window
Stand facing the window with the light on your face. That means the person photographing you will have their back to the window.
Avoid Backlight
Make sure that your window is in front of you and not behind you. Placing a light source behind you will create backlight and cause your face to be cast in shadows.
